ASARI DOKUBO- TINUBU BANNED EX-AGITATORS FROM THE NIGER-DELTA REGION FROM VISITING ASO-ROCK

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has recently prohibited visits by notable ex-Niger Delta militant leaders to the presidential villa in Abuja. This decision comes as a result of the visit by Alhaji Mujarhedeen Asari-Dokubo, the leader of the defunct Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, who publicly made statements and took actions that were seen as unfavorable by Tinubu. Asari-Dokubo's remarks against the military and his association  with Tinubu caused embarrassment and concern. Consequently, the presidency has disapproved any requests for courtesy visits and meetings with the president from individuals associated with the Niger Delta crisis and oil industry unrest.
