Alabi Tobi capitalised on mistakes from Tijani lookman and The Left Back to give Ilupeju Pillars FC a 2-1 win over hapless Oye Fc and increase the pressure on their qualifications.
Ogunyemi Gbenga has now won all the two opening matches of the competition he has participated, but he had right forward Alabi Tobi to thank as much as anyone for delivering a "world-class performance" at Itaji Stadium to keep Oye Fc at bay in the first half.
Oye FC deserved more from their performance although they constructed their own downfall when their right back terrible defensive skills allowed Alabi Tobi to put Ilupeju Pillars ahead in just the 25th minute.
Silas Oye FC Keeper later misjudged the winger's swerving direct-kick from 25 yards to compound Oye Fc joyless start to the tournament which has seen them lose their first match in the competition.

Gbenga Ogunyemi made between 4-6 changes at half-time to address Ilupeju Pillars poor performance, bringing on Ogunjobi Seun, Victor, Tobi and shalom, while Ade refuse to come on as a substitute which gave them more stability. though Oye Fc, were still on top until Silas moved the wrong way for Tobi's direct-kick, allowing the strike to find the bottom of the net on his side.
